I just searched about cufon issue and punctuation, and found these article
http://wiki.github.com/sorccu/cufon/faq (please see in section Some characters do not show up at all!)

Before that maybe you want to see this Jules Siegel experience
http://css-tricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2444

And want to see Simo Kinuunen solution at
http://groups.google.com/group/cufon/browse_thread/thread/50bc7196ffd92ac4/d51525e3ca7cddf5?lnk=gst&q=punctuation#d51525e3ca7cddf5

Or try Character Set Conversions plugin http://kimmo.suominen.com/sw/charsets/

Hope this suggestion help you. FYI, I still didn't try this solution yet.

Thanks for your compliment.
About the theme doesn't show spanish punctuated word, maybe it because font itself that package in this theme.
You can use another font that you like and ready support spanish punctuated word, I usually use dafont.com to find free great font. And convert it with cufon generator at http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/
Then put it in the theme and edit some code in function.php and cssfont.js

I tried this theme and I really liked it.

The bad thing is that I can't use it in my blog since it doesn't show spanish punctuated words.
